I love wearing tights! Just something about them make me feel extremely beautiful as soon as I put them on. So let me tell you, when I saw these tights a while back I just thought they were really cute. Especially because of the floral pattern!

However, I gotta admit that ever since I bought them, I've had a hard time wearing them and mainly feeling ok with people staring at me. But the other day, I just didn't care and felt really good wearing them!!

I guess this is my little self-love challenge and like Amy said, who cares what others think!
How are you doing with this challenge? Show us what you've worn!

Hey everyone! It's Amy again, and today I've got challenge #2 for you! If you're new here, let me explain: each week throughout the month of February, we're going to offer you a self-love challenge--something easy you can do to show yourself that you're worth it and encourage you to give yourself some much-needed love and care. You can view the first challenge here as well as sign the self-love pledge here. Now to this week's challenge!

That's right--this week it's all about digging that crazy dress out of your closet that you've been dying to wear but haven't had the guts to do it. Put on some red lipstick, some crazy shoes, or whatever it is you've always felt like you couldn't "pull off" and work it!

I can't tell you how much I hate when girls say "I just can't pull it off." I'm a firm believer that there's no such thing as pulling it off. If YOU like it and YOU feel good in it, then that's all that matters.

Take a second to think about why you haven't worn that bold-colored dress yet or why you haven't worn red lipstick--you're afraid of what people might think of you, right? But what if just once you decided to not care what others think about what you're wearing? Would it be the end of the world? Probably not. And honestly, if they really think what you're wearing is stupid, then who cares--you don't want to be their friend anyway, know what I'm saying?

So this week, we encourage you all to go crazy, put together an insane outfit, and wear it with pride! It works if you work it. And to kick it all off, here's a crazy outfit I wore recently. I've always been afraid of pattern mixing, but after reading Elizabeth's post on the subject, I decided I better get real and try it out! It was bold, it was crazy, and you know what? I loved it and just went with it.

Now it's your turn! Wear something daring this week and let us know how it went! What have you always wanted to wear but just haven't had the courage to go for it? A pair of heels? Bright lipstick? A daring vintage dress? Tell us! And if you blog about it, leave the link below! We'd love to see you working it. :)

For my last semester at UC Berkeley, I wanted to take a "fun" type of class -- so of course I chose French! :)  I took 4 years of French in high school, but over time I sadly do not remember most of it :(.  So, these past few weeks getting reacquainted with my love for the French language, I decided to write a post on Parisian Fashion.  One day, I hope to go to Paris (very top of my bucket list ;p) and maybe sit at a cafe and style watch.  There's always something so captivating about Parisian Fashion -- the simple elegance of clean silhouettes with tres chic feminine designs and accessories.

One book that gives great inspiration is Parisian Chic by Ines de la Fressange.

And of course everyday Parisian street style is a must for inspiration.

Fin! Merci beaucoup pour la lecture! :)

Two of my new years fashion resolutions are first, incorporate more prints into my wardrobe, and second, try to wear more bright colors.  I want to challenge myself this year by getting more creative with the type of prints and colors in my everyday wear.  Enjoy a few images I've collected for inspiration on sticking to these fashion new years resolutions!

A little inspiration board on anything plaid. Lately my eyes like plaid things such as: blazers, scarfs, shirts, coats, etc. I am not usually into plaid on girls since it sort of reminds me of the typical "school girl" uniform, but I really like how these people made it seem totally cool! What do you think?

Had to take a moment to notice how cute fashionable children can be...lets just say, far down the road, I will be dressing up my children in some way like this.  Can't get over how their parents put together such adorable outfits and not to mention chic ones.  My favorite is Alexander Wang's niece, bundled up in a huge fur coat, which btw is perfect for winter!  Now save all your "aaaaawww's" for the group of photos below.

Taking a study break from this plethora of study-madness happening around UCB Campus at the moment, and wanted to make a post related to something happy and fun -- two things that I am yearning at the moment.  AND, this is going to be another Christmas-related post!  As you can tell, I am very excited for Christmas to come in 2 weeks!!  Time flies.

So, this coming weekend, I am going to attend a family party get-together, with traditional white elephant game, but something new is happening this year with an ugly christmas sweater theme, whoever has the ugliest gets a prize ;P.  I love how we can incorporate ironic fashion into the mix of the holiday season.  And so the search for inspiration for the best ugly christmas sweater begins! Join me :).

All-time fave ugly christmas sweater photo:

I guess 3d christmas sweaters can make a very ugly one indeed, no offense rudolph!

Never knew Santa's face can be used as ornaments, until this.

Better yet, wouldn't it be cool to have a 3d santa as your friend on your belly for the entire party?

And now i'll just end this post on a happy non-ugly note, with Ryan Gosling..not wrapped in an ugly christmas sweater but christmas lights ;).

Merry almost Christmas everyone!!
