All right guys, it's a quick one from me this week, as I am a nice pile of stress due to my car deciding to die on my way home from work earlier this week, and now it is being sold for scrap! Alas, it's always sad when you lose a good friend... I mean car. Anyway I'm sure we've all been there, and when I'm feeling particularly stressed out or vexed or just full of ennui, I listen to good music. Who doesn't? But I just discovered this amazing artist, a girl after my own heart, a girl who calls her music "intergalactic electro-pop," and who happens to have two (count: two) World of Warcraft tattoos. Her name is Valerie Poxleitner, but she goes by Lights. And her music has utterly and completely gotten me through the week!

Lights's first album came out a few years ago, but she's coming out with a brand new one this year, so keep an eye out! In the meantime, definitely check out her first album, The Listening, and revel in the intergalactic electro-pop (if you haven't already)! It's glorious. I don't know how I didn't discover her earlier.
